Sometimes if the supply does not produce enough peak current, then the processor browns out. If that is the case, there are two solutions. First, use a power supply that can source more current like a battery pack. The second option is to power the processor and the servos from different supplies. This can be done by switching the servo power selection jumper from external to internal, and then by connecting a second supply to the External Servo power connector.
