Choppy Servo Control..

Using the CMUCam 2 for tracking color, and using the CMUCam2 CD that came with it to install the GUI and Java, I grab a frame, pick out my color using the control cursor and call "Track Color", the servos attempt to move towards the object, but like my sub says they are very choppy and seem too "excited" for lack of a better word. Could this be remedied with a large capacitor? Or should I mess with the Servo Parameters a bit more? Im tracking a red colored object.

Also is there a way in the program to limit the servos Im using to certain distances (I would like for my tilt servo to never go below 85).. I have components below that do not need to be run over.

Thanks to anyone and everyone for any help or advice

You can adjust the servo parameters in software pretty easily. You can also tweek the control loop in the cmucam2 emulation code for your particular servos. If you modify that control loop it would be easy to add a cut-off value.
