Omnivision module

Hello! I'm trying to deport the omnivision module about 40 cm from the cmucam board. I use two floppy wires (2 rows of 17 pins) but when I want to test the hardware, with ppm graber from example, the ppm written in the mmc is strange: It is in gray level with parasites...

Should I use shielding? Is the wire too long?

    That is probably too long. The lengths also need to be almost identical. In the past I have used ribbon cable as long as say 6 or 7 inches. Since the data rate over the cable is quite high and not encoded for robustness, noise does become a problem.

      You must be right...I will abandon this issue for a while (it is no longer necessary to deport the omnivision module) However, if someone has related informations, I could be interested.
